Nathan Kearnes

Nathan has worked within the natural resources and environment sector for over 20 years. During this time, he has developed superior knowledge and experience with bushfire planning and management, environmental impact assessment, as well as the survey, assessment and mapping of natural resources and processes, particularly landscapes, vegetation and species habitat.

Nathan has well-developed skills and formal training in the assessment, planning and management of bushfire hazard and risk; high level spatial, GIS mapping, remote sensing, predictive spatial modelling and data analysis ability; a sound knowledge of flora and fauna along with field survey skills; strong technical and database related skills; and superior quality control, project management and coordination.

Nathan has a particular passion for landscape scale projects such as bushfire risk assessment and planning, strategic bushfire planning, regional vegetation mapping, habitat modelling, and conservation related spatial analyses. Nathan has also had extensive experience with ecological assessment and approvals related projects covering residential, infrastructure, transport and resource developments.
